Glymphatic System and its Critical Role in Brain Detoxification
Renée Grandi will deliver a CPE-approved webinar focused on the role of the glymphatic system in the context of neurodegenerative and neuroinflammatory conditions. The session will explore how impaired glymphatic clearance contributes to the accumulation of neurotoxic waste products, dysregulated immune signalling, and ongoing neuroinflammation, all of which play a key role in the progression of cognitive decline and neurological disease. The presentation will provide a clear, research-informed explanation of glymphatic function, its relevance to brain health, and the emerging evidence linking this system to early pathological changes in conditions such as Alzheimer’s disease. The second half of the webinar will examine natural, clinically relevant interventions to support glymphatic clearance and neurological resilience, including the therapeutic potential of resveratrol, quercetin, omega-3 fatty acids, curcumin, magnesium, and other targeted nutraceuticals. This webinar is designed to provide practitioners with an accessible yet evidence-based understanding of this emerging area of neuroimmunology and practical tools to apply in clinical practice.

Presenter: Renee Grandi
Renée Grandi is a neuroscientist, naturopath, and clinical nutritionist whose work sits at the intersection of neuroimmunology, neuroinflammation, and integrative medicine. She holds a master’s degree in neuroscience, with a research focus on glymphatic flow dynamics, blood–brain barrier physiology, microglial activation, and the biochemical mechanisms that drive neurodegeneration in complex chronic illness.
Renée’s clinical and research interests centre on the mechanisms that determine brain immune activity, including cerebrospinal fluid–interstitial fluid exchange, aquaporin-4 polarity, meningeal lymphatic function, mitochondrial injury, neuroendocrine signalling, and neuroimmune crosstalk involved in conditions such as Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson’s disease, multiple sclerosis, long-COVID, chronic fatigue syndromes, and functional neurological disorders.
Her work integrates advanced neuroscience with functional and systems-biology perspectives, aiming to map how disruptions in glymphatic clearance, BBB integrity, astrocytic signalling, and cytokine pathways contribute to cognitive decline, autonomic dysfunction, pain syndromes, psychiatric vulnerability, and neurodegenerative progression.
Renée is the founder of the Women’s Integrative Health Clinic, an online global practice dedicated to complex neuroimmune and neuroendocrine conditions. She is known for translating emerging neuroscience into clinically actionable frameworks that support practitioners in recognising the early biochemical, inflammatory, and structural patterns underlying neurological dysfunction.
Renée speaks internationally on the glymphatic system, neuroinflammation, and integrative approaches to brain health, providing practitioners with evidence-based, mechanistic insights that reshape how neurodegenerative and neuroimmune conditions are understood, assessed, and treated.
