Recycled Holiday Decoration Workshop

Join us for a creative and sustainable holiday decoration workshop led by Chloe! In this 45-minute class, you'll craft unique holiday decorations using Uptex—a circular material made from recycled textiles and clothing. We'll also provide reused materials like buttons, trims, and fabric to embellish your creations. As you make your decoration, you'll learn about the full lifecycle of clothes, from recycling old garments to reusing them to create new materials and products. This workshop is free and open to all, with a limit of 25 participants. Walk away with your own handmade decoration and a deeper understanding of sustainability in fashion! 

Chloe is a sustainable designer with a Bachelor's Degree in Product Design at UTS. She exclusively uses eco-friendly materials and is known for her innovative approach. Chloe carefully analyses and researches the entire lifecycle of potential products before creation. She’s passionate about coming up with clever and unique  solutions to problems and creating products that create a positive impact.

This workshop is provided free to residents of the Inner West local government area. This service is presented by the Green Living Centre, an initiative of Inner West Council. As numbers are limited, the service is only available to residents of Inner West Council area. Accessibility: If you have any access or support requirements in order to participate fully please let us know. The site is accessible via paved pathways with a slight slope from street to buildings.
