Red Dove Missional Reflections
Event description
You’re invited to turn your volunteering at the show into a deeper experience of reflecting missionally on your observations during the day. Led by Scott Litchfield from Mission Resourcing, the reflection process begins with orientation in the morning and finishes with reflection and debriefing at the end.
A day of missional reflections at the show looks like this:
8.30am Arrive at Red Dove for a coffee or quick breakfast, and to be prepared for the day.
9am Meet together as a group for orientation and setting the day up
9.20am Time walking around the show in observation mode.
10.50am Arrive back at Red Dove to begin handover of the role you will do.
11am Start your shift working in the café (this includes free lunch at Red Dove)
3.15pm Begin hand over to next shift worker.
3.30pm Focused observation in one of the ‘worlds’ at the show (eg side shows, diary cow judging, woodchopping etc). This concept will be explained in the orientation session.
4.30pm Meet back at the Red Dove for debriefing and sharing our reflections with the group.
5pm finish the reflection program. (Participants can leave the show or look around further.)
