Red Earth Immersion - Parents & Friends Information Evening

Hosted by Red Earth and a number of Melbourne schools, this information evening will take you on a journey around the Red Earth immersion offered to Parents & Friends visiting Cape York in August 2024. We will discuss in detail the itinerary, maps of where you will get to go, logistics, our safety protocol, and the next steps required to enrol in the program.

This immersion is about giving participants access to a world and places that they can't access outside of this setting. Welcomed on private homelands by a large family of Traditional Owners, you will learn about the rich culture of the land directly from its custodians. Whether you are hiking to sacred sites, throwing a fishing line in the creek, or sharing stories around the campfire, the goal is always to facilitate personal connections and allow you to develop a first-hand understanding of the challenges and beauty of modern life in remote Indigenous communities.
