Event description

The South West Development Commission (SWDC) is arranging a series of information sessions on the Regional Economic Development (RED) Grants program and Local Content opportunities.

 These sessions will cover RED Grants application process, eligibility, and examples of funded projects, as well as understand how local suppliers and contractors can connect with upcoming tender opportunities.

The RED Grants program is a State Government initiative that is investing more than $60 million over eleven years in locally-driven projects to stimulate economic growth and development. Applications for Round 8 are now open and close at 3pm on 9 January 2026. 

The RED Grants program supports individual projects that contribute to:  

  • Sustainable jobs; 

  • expanding or diversifying industry; 

  • developing skills or capability; 

  • Attracting new investment in the region; and 

  • increasing productivity;
