Join Liz for a circle gathering in the tradition of the Red Tent. Together we will join in circle as women & womb-havers to be witnessed & held, create sisterhood connection, do shadow work, meditation, ritual & connect to the New Moon & cyclic wisdom. This upcoming circle will be held on Thursday 20 April at 6:30pm-9:30pm to connect to the New Moon in Aries.
*This is the second New Moon in Aries of 2023, falling back-to-back with the Aries New Moon on 22 March. This is critical in the astrological calendar, representing the ultimate closing of one door & opening of another. During this gathering, we will be connecting to the New Moon in Aries, as well as its transition to Taurus, the sign of the lover + artist + earthly pleasures.*
History of the Red Tent
Thousands of years ago, before the creation of technology & artificial light that interrupts our natural rhythms, womb-havers' menstrual cycles used to sync with the moon cycle. All around the world, womb-havers would bleed with the New Moon, retreating to Red Tents or Moon Lodges to be together, to nurture & pamper each other, to rest & replenish in order to sustain themselves as carers of the wider community.
While we don't all bleed together on the New Moon any longer, we are still intuitively connected to the moon & its energies. During the New Moon, we are naturally at our most inward time. It is often the time when our energy fades & we begin to feel anxious, exhausted, stressed, or burnt out. It is also the time when we tend to need the most support. When we join together with other women & womb-havers, it allows us to hold each other & create a safe, sacred space to feel everything we need to feel without judgment.
Today we gather in Red Tent circles because it is an opportunity to come together & support each other in times of darkness. To create community & keep each other's fires lit so we can venture into our dark inner realms together. It is an opportunity to mutually heal & empower ourselves & connect with the Divine Feminine that lives within us all.
During this monthly gathering, we will begin with shadow work & end with manifestation, bringing our darkness into the light, releasing what no longer serves & setting intentions for the month ahead. As a sex & cycle coach, I will offer wisdom & creative offerings to connect us deeply to our sexual essence, our womb wisdom & invite us to feel more at home in our bodies.
All attendees must arrive 15 min early & bring a small dish to share for lunch/dinner after closing the circle.
