Red Tent New Moon Mothers' Circle July 2022
Event description
- On the Sunday closest to each new moon we gather together in sacred circle, in reverence to the Divine Feminine, to share the journey of womanhood, a place where we truly listen to our sisters and have the opportunity to be deeply heard as well. We share our moon cycle and life cycle experiences and stories (sharing as much or a little as you are comfortable with). The full spectrum of who we are is invited to show up . If you’ve never joined us before don’t let that keep you away! There are always a few women attending for the first time.
“Love is the divine mothers arms; when they are spread, every soul falls into them.”- Hazrat Inayat Khan
- Entering motherhood initiates a uniquely sacred experience for those that choose this path, however there is something deeply familiar, an invisible thread that connects us all.
- In this ‘Mother’s Red Tent’ we will come together to share our personal and collective experiences of motherhood, engage in ritual practice with a transformation ritual and collaborate in sacred space with a mother honouring ceremony.
- We are blessed to have Carla Muhl- Doula, Birth/Postpartum advocate, massage Therapist, Mother and facilitator of Bellingen Baby- birth and mothers group as our guest speaker.
- Who is this for? Mothers of all ages and stages and mothers-to-be.
- What to bring: A piece of nature you are feeling drawn too (trust intuition and timing), a picture of your mother/grandmother (optional) for altar and honouring ceremony, sheepskin/folded blanket plus cushion to sit on.
- Snacks and Chai will be provided.
- Babies in arms welcome.
- Those of you with older children- there may be an option for babysitter service if we get enough interest and plenty of notice. Additional cost will apply to cover cost of babysitter (the more children, the cheaper).
- Mothers and mothers-to-be of all ages and stages of life are welcomed. If cost is a barrier, please contact us.
