Rediscovering Curiosity with David Cohen
Event description
Portland-area artist David Cohen, whose work is featured in August's Camas Gallery exhibition, will talk about his artistic journey and how it is intricately interwoven with his ongoing efforts towards self-discovery and ultimately a dive into his deep past.
Rolled into that story is the reemergence of his passion for and commitment to art-making after a 25-year hiatus, while on a personal quest to more fully understand what it means to be truly authentic.
David will tie this all to the evolution of his artistic ideas, themes and processes, and discuss those issues as they pertain to the artwork in the current exhibition.
Hosted by the Salem Art Association at the Bush Barn Art Center and Annex.
Enter through the Bush Barn Art Center Main Entrance, the talk will take place in the Camas Gallery. Come a few minutes early and enjoy the artwork in the galleries!
