This event has passed Get tickets

Event description

Redkite has been at the forefront of childhood cancer care in Australia for over 35 years. In 2020 we conducted a detailed national survey to assess the gaps in the support needs of families of children with cancer.

Please join a panel of Redkite experts for an exclusive preview of the survey results, which highlight the significant gaps in support that still exist for families. You will also hear from a mother, Nicky, who will share her family’s recent experience with childhood cancer.

Our panelists:

Monique Keighery Redkite CEO - Prior to her appointment as CEO, Monique held leadership roles with Redkite for over 11 years and was instrumental in our growth and development over that period. Monique is passionate about her work at Redkite and innovating to better support families across Australia facing their children’s cancer.

Tim Rogers, Head of Professional Standards and Practice at Redkite  - Tim has been a social worker and human services manager in various health, welfare and community organisations since 1985. Over the last 15 years he’s been working with Redkite teams  developing quality, psychosocial support services in response to unmet needs.

Nicky Mahy Sherlock is mother of Jamie (4 years old) who was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukaemia in September 2019. Nicky and her family live in Boddington, rural Western Australia. Sharing her story, Nicky will answer questions about her experience with a child with cancer and explore the needs of families like hers.

We hope to see you there and answer any questions you might have for Monique, Tim or Nicky.
