☕ Keeping Mum Redlands – “Mum Speed-Dating” with Shaney

Keeping Mum isn’t your average mothers group – it’s a warm, inclusive community designed to help you feel seen, supported and connected. Since 2021, Keeping Mum has welcomed over 5,000 mums to its one-of-a-kind facilitated programs full of engaging topics, expert guests and play-based sessions – with no topic repeating for a full year!

During the event, Shaney will lead a fun “Mum Speed-Dating” session to help you meet other local mums, start conversations and build friendships. Whether you’re pregnant, a first-time mum or wrangling multiple little ones – Keeping Mum is here for you.

🌿 Why You’ll Love It:

  • Trial three complementary, expert-led programs in one morning

  • Learn more about early development, postnatal health and community support

  • Meet other mums in a safe, friendly, no-pressure space

  • Enjoy a hot or cold drink from Bush Oasis Café

  • Receive exclusive offers and discounts on upcoming programs

📌 Things to Know:

  • Suitable for mums with babies from birth to 12 months.

  • Attendance is limited to two caregivers and one baby (12 months or under) per family.

  • For safety and wellbeing reasons, older siblings and children cannot attend.

  • For the Kangatraining segment, if you have one, please bring your baby carrier. Ashleigh will have a few loan carriers available. To take part in the Kangatraining session, clients will need to sign a short waiver and be at least 6 weeks postpartum (12 weeks post c section) to take part in the babywearing dancing. If you would prefer to simply watch the demonstration, that's fine also!

  • Don’t worry if your bub’s nap overlaps with the event – we’ve got you covered! We’ll start with Baby Sensory while little ones are fresh, move into Kangatraining where bubs can settle in the carriers or prams for a snooze, and then finish with our relaxed mum-to-mum “speed dating” fun over coffee.

  • Please arrive 5–10 mins early to settle in

A Note on Secondary Caregivers/Dads Attending:

While this event was originally designed as a mums-only gathering, after receiving several enquiries about whether partners are welcome, we are happy for families to have two caregivers attend if this helps guests feel more comfortable.

👉 If you do wish to bring a secondary caregiver, after placing a booking, please email us at bayside-qld@babysensory.com to advise, providing their name.

💡 Please note: While all caregivers may attend our regular term classes for our Baby Sensory and Kangatraining programs, the Keeping Mum program is  designed specifically to provide connection and community for mothers.

For this reason, if you would like to bring a secondary caregiver/partner to the event, during the Keeping Mum 'speed dating session' with Shaney, we kindly ask that secondary caregivers move to another area within the café to allow our beautiful mums with an opportunity to connect. This session will be the last component of the event, and will run for around 30mins. Partners are welcome to enjoy the café, the beautiful grounds and enjoy a coffee at this time.

To ensure safety and comfort for everyone:

  •  Depending on numbers, due to space requirements, we may not be able to accommodate every secondary caregiver on the Baby Sensory mats. Seating will be available around the space, and caregivers are welcome to switch out so both can enjoy the experience. If there is space on the day, we will advise at the time of the event.

  •  Secondary caregivers are also welcome to engage in the Kangatraining session.

Booking Info:

  • Tickets cot: $15 per family (inc. two adult caregivers and one baby 12 months and under)

  • Includes all sessions, one hot or cold drink, and exclusive event-only offers

  • Limited spots available – secure your place now!

  • Note: A $1.75 booking and administration fee applies to each ticket, covering Humanitix's payment processing. Importantly, any profit from this fee is donated to charity.
