Wed, 30 Apr, 6:30pm - 8:30pm AEST

Event description

What happens when the stories we’re taught no longer hold up to the truth we see? Israelism follows the journeys of two young American Jews raised to defend Israel without question until they confront the realities of Israel’s treatment of Palestinians and find their beliefs challenged.

At a time when criticism of the Israeli state is frequently conflated with antisemitism, this is an urgent, important examination of changing Jewish attitudes, especially amongst the younger generation, and the potential consequences for the region and Judaism itself.

🎬 Film begins at 6:30pm sharp.
🗣️ Screening will be followed by a short, informal conversation.
☕ Tea, coffee, and biscuits are available throughout.
