Climate change is one of the most important issues of our time. But finding fresh ways to tell climate stories - and make them interesting to audiences of all ages across different platforms isn't always easy!

If you're looking for ideas as we head towards the next UN Climate Change Conference in November, this webinar is for you. It will bring together outstanding journalists who will share ideas for innovative coverage that will capture a target audience's attention.

SPEAKERS

Jo Lauder is a journalist in the ABC climate team. She hosted the first ABC climate podcast, Who's Gonna Save Us?, which won a 2023 Covering Climate Now award. She also hosted the ABC's environmental history podcast, Saving the Franklin, and was the Melbourne reporter for triple j's current affairs show, Hack. 

Liam Mannix is the National Science Reporter for the Sydney Morning Herald and The Age. He recently completed 'The Climate Explorers', a 5-month program at the Constructive Institute at Aarhus University, which brought together journalists from around the world to explore new ways of covering climate change that resonate with audiences.

Andrew McCormick is deputy director of Covering Climate Now, a global journalism collaboration dedicated to strengthening climate change reporting, which he helped launch in 2019. Andrew's work has appeared in The New York Times, The Guardian, The Atlantic, Columbia Journalism Review, and the South China Morning Post, among other outlets. He has additionally been adjunct faculty at Columbia Journalism School.
