Forest Regen at Tomaree's One Mile

Event description

You're invited to join us in

Forest Regen at Tomaree's One Mile

On Saturday morning 27 July, the Friends of Tomaree National Park are inviting you to a terrific morning of bush care as we give a helping hand to regenerate bush and improve the resilience of the coastal forest on the headland at One Mile Beach.

Through the morning we will learn about native vegetation, and find out how to deal with invasive weeds such as bitou bush (Chrysanthemoides monilifera) and asparagus fern (Asparagus aethiopicus). We’ll be removing weeds and preparing the site for some native planting.

We will send you more information about the day, where to meet, what to bring and more. A simple morning tea will be supplied.

We look forward to meeting with you.

Please register each participant separately.
If this is your first activity with the Friends of Tomaree NP, you will be asked to supply your contact details and those of an emergency contact (first name only and mobile) who is not at this activity.

Our partners and us

This is an activity of the Friends of Tomaree National Park a group of the voluntary community National Parks Association. We work with the support of the National Parks and Wildlife Service, NSW. We will be working on a section of the Tomaree Coastal Walk.

We acknowledge we are meeting on the lands of the Worimi People. We pay respect to Elders, past, present and future, and acknowledge the pivotal role of First Nations People within the Australian community.
