Regency & Reformation: Jane Austen’s World in Words and Music
Ever wondered what Jane Austen’s stories would sound like with a live orchestra? This unique concert brings her world to life with beautiful music and live acting. You’ll hear pieces from the time Austen lived - like the dramatic Pride and Prejudice Suite and the powerful Reformation Symphony - while actors perform scenes from her novels, including Pride and Prejudice and Persuasion.
It’s not just sitting and listening; there’s storytelling, romance, and even a bit of comedy. The second half kicks off with Mozart’s lively Magic Flute, and the actors will move through the audience, making the experience feel up close and personal. With period costumes, a simple stage, and a full symphony orchestra right there with the performers, it’s a fun and moving way to explore Austen’s world—even if you’ve never been to a concert before.
