Regenerating Australia: Film Screening & Panel (ONLINE ONLY)

Event description

As part of Sustainability Week, join RMIT University for this special community screening of 'Regenerating Australia' by director Damon Gameau.

What would Australia look like in 2030 if we simply listened to the needs of its people? Regenerating Australia is the latest film from Damon Gameau, the award-winning director of 2040 and That Sugar Film.
Gameau ponders how the nation could look in 2030, but only if we start transitioning to a fairer, cleaner, more community-focused economy now — and putting in place changes inspired by the country's residents. Produced in partnership with WWF-Australia, the 17-minute film is poised as a news bulletin on New Year's Eve 2029, looking back at everything that's been achieved over the decade prior. And if you're wondering where Gameau came up with the answers, Regenerating Australia is based on a four-month interview process with a diverse range of Aussies, who all offered their thoughts, hopes and dreams on what they'd love to see happen.

Following on from the film will be a Panel and Q&A with Regen Melbourne and RMIT University.

Hear from:

- Prof Lauren Rickards (RMIT University)

- Nicole Barling-Luke (Regen Melbourne)
