Regenerative Architecture Index (RAI) 2027
Register your interest in the Regenerative Architecture Index 2027
The Regenerative Architecture Index (RAI) recognises, supports and accelerates the work of practices seeking to transform architecture and construction into a regenerative force for good.
Launched in 2024 by Architecture Today and UK Architects Declare, the RAI brings together architectural practices and professionals from across the built environment to share knowledge, exchange ideas and accelerate change.
Participants are invited to reflect openly on their achievements, ambitions, challenges and frustrations across the RAI’s three pillars:
Good Ancestor
Co-evolving with Nature
Just Space for People
Their combined experience creates a growing resource for everyone seeking to change the way the built environment is designed and delivered.
The RAI has grown from 68 participants in its first year to 116 in 2025. Its community includes architectural practices of every size, alongside ecologists, landscape architects, engineers and other built-environment professionals. This diversity supports interdisciplinary discussion, collaboration and the exchange of practical knowledge.
The long-term ambition is for the RAI to become more than an index: a community with the vision, skills and collective resources to help create a better world.
