Event Description

We invite you to a Fireside Chat with our special guest, Reginah Sanyu, founder of EarlyBird256.

Reginah Sanyu is an operations specialist, humanitarian, and the founder of EarlyBird256. EarlyBird256 is a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping youth, especially girls in Uganda, find the power of their voices through art, movement, and wellness education. The space is inspired by people and activities that helped Reginah navigate life after she left Uganda, as she transitioned from Busega to Boston to Brooklyn. Her background and interest in art, fashion, and media, paired with her passion for movement, combined to shape the EarlyBird256 philosophy. The aim to provide girls with educational resources and safe spaces in rural Uganda.

Reginah will discuss how her work helped her process her grief at the loss of her grandparents and find joy in life to balance sorrow. She will also share how having access to educational resources enabled her to move forward, reinforcing the importance of providing this access for the next generation in rural learning centres.

The event is held on Zoom, details will be shared after tickets are booked.
