REGIONAL FINALS | FMG Junior Young Farmer of the Year 2024

FMG Junior Young Farmer of the Year is back!   

NZ Young Farmers is gearing up to host the first stage of the FMG Junior Young Farmer of the Year, the Regional Finals!  

HOW DOES IT WORK?  

1. Seven Regional Finals run across the country between 10th February and 13th April 2024
2. Competing in teams of two, contestants will be challenged to a series of modules based on the food and fibre sector.
3. The top two teams from each Regional Final move through to the Grand Final to battle it out for the title of FMG Junior Young Farmer of the Year. 

WHO CAN ENTER?
High school students in years 9 - 13 enrolled in a NZ High School for the 2024 school year as of the 1st of February 2024

Or 

Students enrolled in an NZQA approved Tertiary Education Provider for their first year only as of the 1st of February 2024, completing a qualification no higher than a Certificate, and must not be older than 17 as of the 1st of February 2024 (proof of enrolment must be provided at time of registration. Please send this to events@youngfarmers.co.nz)

$10 per team

• Please Note: As this Regional Final is at the Central District Field Days, all contestants and their supervisor will receive a complimentary ticket into the show (3 tickets per team total). All other spectators and supporters are required to purchase a ticket into the show
