Alan Tyson - Manager, Assets & Project Delivery - Goulburn Valley Water

Alan loves contributing to the community and brings over 40 years of experience in engineering, leadership, and strategy across consultancy, government, and construction. Currently managing infrastructure delivery and the PMO at Goulburn Valley Water, he has led the successful delivery of over $1 billion in infrastructure projects, from treatment plants and pipelines to dams and buildings. He is a trusted leader known for guiding teams through complex programs and driving business improvement. He also serves as an Incident Controller and contributes to industry forums on water, asset, and emergency management.

Alan holds qualifications in civil engineering,  project management and emergency services. A committed community volunteer, he is very active in the Country Fire Authority, Volunteer Fire Brigades Victoria, and advocates for mental health in emergency services as a Lived Experience Advisor with the Black Dog Institute.
