Regional Innovation Summit 2027
Description
Regional Innovation Summit 2027
Two days. On site, then at the table.
15–16 March 2027 · Saltwater Busselton and across the South West region
The Regional Innovation Summit brings together founders, investors, researchers, industry leaders, government and community innovators to get things moving in regional Western Australia.
In 2026 we sold out. Ninety-six people from 67 organisations spent two days together, and of the 36 who filled in our survey, 31 gave it five stars and nobody rated it below four. Every one of them said they'd come to something like it again.
In 2027 we're at Saltwater Busselton on the foreshore, with room to grow.
Monday 15 March — Experiences Day
An afternoon out in the region, on one of two routes. You choose your route, we handle the driving, and you spend the afternoon out in the innovation ecosystem, on site with the people building it.
Country & Kitchen — what's grown and harvested here, from land and sea
Science & Scale — what's built here, from lab to market
Each route visits three sites with a local host at each. Coaches leave from a central Busselton departure point at 10.45am and finish at the Sundowner.
Limited to 48 places, 24 per route. You choose your route when you book, so the earlier you book the more choice you have. Hosts are announced in January.
5:00pm — the Sundowner. Drinks and local food with everyone who's been out on the road that afternoon plus open to Summit Day 2 attendees and the public.
Tuesday 16 March — Summit Day
The full Summit at Saltwater Busselton, 9:00am to 4:00pm.
Headline keynotes. The Startup Pitch Showcase, Innovation booths.
The rotating tables. This is the part that makes the day different. You'll move between themed tables through the day working with different people each time.
Every table lands on one concrete action for the region. Those actions get published in the post-event report. In 2026 the room produced more than thirty.
We finish late-afternoon, so anyone heading to the BioInnovation Festival Conference in Perth on the Wednesday can drive up that evening.
