Regional NSW Dance Sector Network Gathering

Let’s connect and shape what’s next for dance across regional NSW.

Join fellow regional NSW dance practitioners for the first Regional NSW Dance Sector Network Gathering (online), a free and informal online catch-up creating space for connection, conversation and shared ideas.

Building on the conversations of DANCE DIALOGUES: Outside the City, Beyond the Limits held in August, this quarterly gathering is an opportunity to stay connected across the vast and diverse regional NSW dance sector.

What will we explore?

Each gathering will respond to what’s happening for artists and the sector, creating a space to:

·       Connect with other dance artists working across regional NSW

·       Share what you’re working on, thinking about or navigating

·       Talk openly about the opportunities and challenges of making dance regionally

·       Share resources, ideas, opportunities and useful connections

·       Identify common needs and priorities for the regional dance sector

·       Hear from artists and practitioners about their experiences

·       Explore ways we can build stronger connections, support and advocacy across the sector.

Most importantly, this is a chance to meet other people doing the work across different regions, practices and communities.

Who is it for?

This gathering is for dance practitioners living and/or working in regional NSW, including independent artists, choreographers, performers, producers, teachers, arts workers and others contributing to the regional dance ecology.

Whether you are an established practitioner, emerging artist, working across multiple regions, or simply keen to connect with others, you’re invited!

A sector-led network

This pilot network is being led by regional independent artists, with practical in-kind support from Regional Arts NSW (RANSW).

The intention is to create a regular, useful and genuinely sector-led space that responds to the needs of regional dance artists and evolves through the conversations we have together.
