Okuden ~ Your Second Level into Reiki

The Japanese Art of Healing

Okuden means the “inner” or “hidden teachings” of Reiki. It is an invitation to deepen the relationship you began in Shoden—with Reiki, your energy, your awareness and yourself.

This level is not simply about learning more techniques or becoming a professional practitioner. It is a continuation of Reiki as a path of self-discovery: learning to listen more closely, work with energy more intentionally and bring greater presence, clarity and compassion into everyday life.

For those who do feel called to share Reiki professionally, Okuden also establishes the practical and ethical foundations for working with others.

Across two immersive days, we will explore:

• The deeper teachings and practice of the Reiki precepts

• Three traditional Reiki symbols and mantras

• Focus, harmony and connection through Earth, Heaven and Heart energy

• Distance Reiki and working beyond physical proximity

• Techniques for sensing, listening to and working with energy

• Strengthening concentration, awareness and intuitive connection

• Giving and receiving Reiki treatments

• Consent, confidentiality, boundaries and ethical practice

• Creating and holding a clear, grounded Reiki session

• Reiki as an ongoing practice for self-development and everyday living

Some people come to Okuden because they wish to begin sharing Reiki professionally. Others come simply to deepen their own personal practice and relationship with energy. Both pathways are welcome.

Training details

Dates: Saturday 28 and Sunday 29 November
Saturday: 9.30am–5.30pm
Sunday: 9.30am–4.30pm
Location: Oamaru—the venue will be confirmed one week before training
Group size: Limited to 4–8 students

Keeping the group intentionally small allows space for personal guidance, questions, practical experience and a nourishing shared energy.

Prerequisite

Completion of Reiki Shoden or an equivalent Reiki Level One training is required.

Students completing Shoden with Jae on 7–8 November are welcome to continue into this Okuden training. If you completed Level One with another Reiki teacher, please contact Jae before registering so your previous training and readiness can be discussed.

You do not need to know whether Reiki will become a professional path for you. You may simply feel ready to go deeper—to understand more, practise more fully and continue discovering what Reiki opens within you.
