Description

Across many sectors today, leaders are navigating increasing complexity, burnout, and systems that no longer seem to serve the wellbeing of people or communities.

Much of this challenge stems from what we call the dominant power story, a model of leadership rooted in hierarchy, command and control, and extractive ways of working.

But what if power could be life-giving rather than extractive?

The Reimagining Power Framework, developed by Brook Thorndycraft and Louise Pitre, offers leaders and organizations a pathway toward a more restorative expression of power, one where leadership becomes a shared practice of facilitating, hosting, and stewarding the conditions for others to step into their power.

Over the past year, we have been quietly testing and refining this framework with colleagues and partners, and we are excited to now share it more widely.

Join us for this free interactive session where we will explore the foundations of the Reimagining Power Framework and experience one of the framework’s leadership rubrics together.

In this session, you will explore

  • The two meta-narratives of power shaping leadership today

  • An overview of the 12 leadership behaviours within the Reimagining Power Framework

  • A guided experience using the Transparency Rubric to reflect on where your team or organization currently sits on the journey from Not Started to Arriving

Who This Session is For

This session is designed for:

  • Organizational leaders and executive directors

  • Leadership teams and board members

  • Organizational development and HR professionals

  • Consultants, coaches, and facilitators

  • Anyone curious about cultivating more restorative and life-giving expressions of power in leadership

The Reimagining Power Framework

The Reimagining Power Framework emerged from Louise Pitre and Brook Thorndycraft’s shared exploration of how power shows up in leadership, relationships, and organizational systems. Drawing on their complementary backgrounds in leadership development, systems change, conflict transformation, and embodied practice, they developed this framework to help leaders and organizations move toward more restorative expressions of power.
