Relational Frame Theory
Event description
Relational Frame Theory (RFT) is a behavior analytic learning theory that explains and helps address private events without delving into mentalism. More often, Behavior Analysts are beginning to deliver treatments that involve talking, such as perspective-taking, empathy-building, problem-solving and logic-building -- all of which involve private events based in relational frames. Even classic methods, such as DTT, make sense from an RFT framework, and so this is relevant to all behavior analysts, even those who avoid addressing feelings or emotions. Join us for 2 hours of discussion and experiential learning, by the end of which, hopefully, you will have developed some new relational frames that could better your practice. Presented by Nicholas Maio-Aether, MAMFT, MSPSY, LBA, CSC, IBA, BCBA.
