Event description

If daily life is like surfing through rolling and crashing waves, may this offer a deep dive into the calm of the ocean floor. A restorative, yet revealing, refuge.

Rememberance is a yoga nidra series holding space for effortless realization. Yoga nidra (transl. yogic sleep) is a practice of conscious non-doing that reminds us of who/what we truly are. It is a technique of guided sensory withdrawal that brings us to a state between waking and sleeping. This liminal state amplifies the benefits of sleep with the power of our conscious awareness. There we are able to transcend the layers of the illusionary "self", to not only uncover our truth, but rest in the clarity and perspective of that divine wisdom.

The 2-hour session will begin with a short discussion over tea, followed by light movement to prepare the body for stillness. Then Gigi will lead a 45-minute yoga nidra with time to reflect and share at the end.

Yoga nidra is typically practiced lying on your back, but you may also sit in a comfortable seat as long as your spine is completely supported.

It is essential that you be as comfortable as possible, so please dress comfortably and bring any supportive props you would like, such as pillows, bolsters, blankets, etc. There will also be some props provided.
