    Prepare to be dazzled as BARRY DU BOIS, from Network Ten’s The Living Room hosts this lively discussion on the next frontier in home renovations. 

    Featuring a panel of power couples - home renovation experts KYAL & KARA DEMMRICH (from Nine Network’s The Block) and sustainability entrepreneurs ELENA & TIM SILVERWOOD (founder of New Future Folk and co-founder of Take 3 for the Sea and Ocean Impact Organisation) who are transforming their 80's home in the Northern Rivers.

    You’ll find out why renovating with the planet in mind doesn’t just feel good but looks and lives pretty spesh too. You’ll hear how these fabulous couples are transforming homes from drab to fab using a combination of mindset, imagination and low impact materials and principles.

    This project is a NSW Environment Protection Authority Waste and Sustainable Materials Strategy initiative, funded from the waste levy.

With over 35 renovations under their belt, they have launched their business, Diverse Design & Construct and work on various design and building projects around the country.

    Elena & Tim Silverwood

    Elena is a multi-talented communicator and environmentalist. She is the founder of New Future Folk, a marketing and PR agency focused on building ethical and sustainable brands. Partner Tim is an award-winning environmentalist committed to reducing human impacts on the natural world. Tim became alarmed at the risk plastic pollution posed to our oceans and wildlife, co-founding the not-for-profit organisation Take 3 for the Sea in 2009. Tim launched Ocean Impact Organisation in 2020 with a mission to support and accelerate ocean impact businesses.
