Victoria’s renting laws are changing.
Most recently, emergency measures were introduced to keep renters safe at home and prevent financial hardship during COVID-19. These include a ban on unreasonable evictions and the right to request rent reductions.
With looming cuts to JobSeeker and JobKeeper, it’s likely more renters will need to access these measures.
