Repair and Swap @UoN Newcastle - Citizen COP 2026
Description
Clothes Swap & Repair Café
Got clothes you no longer wear, or something that just needs a little love to keep going?
Join us on campus for a Clothes Swap and Repair Café! Bring gently used clothing, shoes or accessories to swap, along with clothing or small electronics in need of repair. Our volunteer repairers will help you give your items a second life and keep them out of landfill.
Enjoy some light refreshments while you swap, repair and connect with others.
The event is open to University of Newcastle students and staff. Students are also welcome to volunteer alongside our repairers on the day — get in touch if you’d like to be involved.
If you’re part of the wider community and would like to join a future Repair Café or Clothes Swap, get in touch to hear when the next one is happening.
Hosted by The Full Circle Collective, as part of Citizen COP alongside COP17.

About Citizen COP Australia
Citizen COP Australia is a decentralised, people-powered movement running alongside the global COPs in 2026. Enabled by People For Nature, but intentionally independent and distributed, Citizen COP invites communities, organisations, schools, businesses, artists, and local groups across Australia to host their own events during the COP period. Rather than a single central event, Citizen COP is a nationwide network of conversations, workshops, and actions that bring global climate and nature discussions into local communities. It connects people to science, solutions, and each other, strengthening civic engagement and ensuring citizen voices contribute to Australia’s climate and nature conversations.

About People For Nature
People For Nature is a volunteer-powered environmental charity empowering communities through climate and biodiversity education, citizen conservation, and science.
