    Event description

Get ready for another fantastic day exploring the Wallsend Op Shop Trail!

We've got two exciting events lined up for you, and you can choose one, or both!

Wallsend Op Shop Trail Walking Tour

Prepare to embark on an op-shopping adventure with Mardi Lee from Renewy Living, as she leads a delightful walking tour along the Wallsend Op Shop Trail! If you haven't experienced one of Mardi's tours yet, make sure to grab your ticket now—you'll be glad you did!

    • Start your tour at 10am at 2/145 Nelson Street, Wallsend.
    • Mardi will lead you on a journey through Wallsend's five unique Op Shops, offering insights into their history and providing personalized shopping tips along the way! Plus, you'll have the opportunity to meet the dedicated volunteers of the Wallsend Op Shop Trail.
    • Tickets are FREE but bookings through Humanitix are essential to secure your spot.
    • The tour will run from 10am to 11:30am.
    • If you find something that needs a minor alteration during the tour, you can bring it back to the Repair Cafe!

    Repair Cafe

Let Upcycle Newcastle and Purple Card Project help you repair your clothing items for FREE!

    • The Repair Café will be running from 9:30am-12:30pm (2/145 Nelson Street, Wallsend).
    • Ticket bookings are just to give us an idea of numbers, so if you don't have a ticket no worries, just bring along your item for repair before 12pm!
    • If you don't have something that needs repairing come along anyway and find an item on the Rescue Rack! This rack features clothing that was destined for landfill or export, and has been put together as part of the Community Textile Recovery Initiative.

We look forward to seeing you there!

This event is brought to you by Purple Card Project, and is proudly supported by City of Newcastle (delivered under the Special Business Rate Program and the Community Support Program), Newcastle Libraries, and Wallsend Town Business Association.
