Repair Your Bike maintenance course
Event description
This bike maintenance workshop is perfect for anyone who wants to learn how to keep their bicycle in top condition and roadworthy. Our bike experts from The Bower have a hands-on approach that ensures you gain a solid understanding of bike maintenance.
Be part of a small group of up to 6 people with similar levels of knowledge. Together, you'll cover the following topics:
- Getting to know your bike
- Performing a safety check
- Maintaining a healthy chain
- Removing wheels
- Repairing a puncture
If time and interest allow, we may also explore:
- Adjusting brakes and gears
Where: Undercover at Inner West Sustainability Hub -The Bower Bike Repair Shop (towards the back of the site, at the end of the blue pedestrian path, near the garden space). Look for our signage.
Accessibility: If you have any access or support requirements in order to participate fully please let us know. The site is accessible via paved pathways with a slight slope from street to buildings.
Who: This workshop is provided free to residents of the Inner West local government area. This service is presented by the Green Living Centre, an initiative of Inner West Council. As numbers are limited, the service is only available to residents of Inner West Council area. Search by address at Find Your Local Council - Office of Local Government NSW website to find your local government area, if you're unsure. Proof of residential address will be required.
Customers under 18 years of age must be accompanied by an adult guardian.
