Event description

In today’s rapidly evolving research landscape, extending the impact of our work beyond the confines of UTS is more crucial than ever. This engaging session led by PVC Professor Chris Turney has an inspiring panel of research leaders who have successfully bridged the gap between academia and the wider community, industry, and government. Our panellists will share their insights and experiences on forging meaningful collaborations, influencing policy, and driving innovation that has impact on a global scale. In contrast to working with academic colleagues, we will explore how good research leaders represent themselves (and the University) when working with external partners. We will explore the strategies that enable researchers to amplify their reach, engage with diverse stakeholders, and ensure their findings make a real difference to the communities we work. This session should be a fabulous exploration of how research leadership can play a positive role outside of UTS, shaping the future in profound and positive ways.
