Preparing your Oral Research Presentation
This
practice-oriented workshop covers the basic principles involved in
planning and making oral research presentations for academic and other
audiences. It will also assist with preparation for a conference
presentation or the three minute thesis (3MT) and deal with issues of
effective planning, presentation software and more
The session covers the following aspects concerning oral research presentations:
• Common types of presentations – research seminars, conferences
• Preparing the presentation
• How to communicate with impact
• Practice presentation principles in small groups
This workshop supports your development in the Research Communication element of the MAPARC research student capability framework and the UTS Research Outcomes Capability framework.

If you need help to join a Zoom meeting, please follow the steps:
1. Follow the meeting link to enter the meeting.
2. Navigate to the UTS Zoom site. Sign in using your UTS credentials.
3. Select ‘Join a meeting’ from the top navigation menu.
4. Enter the meeting ID into the text box. Select ‘Join’.
5. You will enter the meeting when the Zoom application launches.
