Event description

The new Tech Central precinct really is Australia's innovation engine, with research, med-tech and health-tech front and centre.

Three world-class universities. A world-leading research hospital. Over 100 research institutes and centres of excellence.

But like all engines, Tech Central needs a catalyser and in this case it's the collisions, the connections and the sparks that happen when researchers, innovators and technologists get together. So come along to The Centenary Institute on the evening of April 6 and find out who's who in the zoo across this exciting precinct.

The evening will include lightning presentations from medical researchers, med-tech and health-tech startups from across Sydney University, RPA, Sydney Research, UTS and more. In fact: if you'd like to share a 90 second lightning talk, contact maxine@sparkfestival.co and we'll put you on the program!

This event will be hosted by The Centenary Institute, a world-leading independent Medical Research Institute located on the border of the University of Sydney Campus and the Royal Prince Alfred Hospital.

Keeping our community COVID-Safe

We're all in this brave new world together.

    • We request all our attendees to be double vaccinated.
    • Please don't attend if you're not feeling in tiptop shape.

Note that these requests are subject to change and that we will strictly follow NSW authorities' recommendations at all times.

How to find the Centenary Institute

The Centenary Institute is behind the sandstone RPA building on Missenden Rd. You can see it on the map here. The surefire way to find it is to walk down John Hopkins Dve beside RPA and then as the road veers around to the right, The Centenary is right in front of you. We'll have someone downstairs looking out for you :)
