Resilience - highs and lows of teaching. What are the challenges, triumphs and opportunities

This event has passed Get tickets

Event description

Educating young adults is one of the most challenging and rewarding professions one can be engaged in. Helping students navigate self-identity,  determine ideal career options, meet their education expectations and be a mentor for them through their day to day personal issues, life was never simple for our education professionals.

As if you were not already at capacity from all of these expectations, 2020 has seen a global pandemic forcing us all to find our ‘new normal.’ For those teaching this has literally changed the learning environment more dramatically and in a shorter space of time than any other in living memory.

There has never been a better time than now to focus on and develop skills of resilience to overcome the world we now live and work in.

This workshop will explore the full dimensions of resilience and what it means to all of us as individuals. Teachers will have the opportunity to speak frankly about the challenges and triumphs that the ‘new normal’ has presented and together we will investigate what real world actions teachers can take for the personal wellbeing of themselves and those around them.

Looking forward to working with you in the Spark festival.
