Resilient Pastures Paddock Walk - WAKOOL
Event description
Join agronomist Damian Jones and Western Murray Land Improvement Group project staff for a walk through an improved dryland pasture site. Hear from the landholder on how the system has performed, look at species recruitment and composition, and learn how to measure the slaking and dispersal of your own soils.
Hands on learning through:
- Species I.D
- Slaking and Dispersal testing methods
- Pasture cut techniques
- Networking and information sharing with other landholders
This event is designed to help you learn new skills that you can apply to your own dryland sites, and discuss methods of approach with other landholders in the area.
