Christmas Island is located 1500 km from the Australian mainland. On this tiny dot in the Indian Ocean you can find tropical rainforest, freshwater wetlands and spectacular sea cliffs. An incredible diversity of wildlife can be found on land and in the water, with rare birds, millions of crabs and rich marine life.

Every year, millions of red crabs emerge from the forest and make their way to the ocean to breed, swarming across roads, streams, rocks and beaches.

Jahna Lake is the Tourism Marketing Manager for Christmas Island, making her the perfect person to take us on a tour of the wonders of Christmas Island, from the crab migration to the incredible bird life!

Use the form below to sign up for the event(s) you'd like to join with your students.

There are several way to join:

Register for one of the limited camera spots and your students can interact directly with the speakers and ask their questions live.
If your students are not in the classroom and learning virtually, the educator can join in a camera spot and relay questions from their students as they tune in live.
You can also choose to tune in live via YouTube with your class and send in questions via the live chat. The events will record as well and be available to watch afterwards via a YouTube playlist.
All events will have live Kahoot! quizzes and your students can test their new learning while competing with students across the country.
