Event description

For 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence, WIRE is aligning with Respect Victoria's campaign, "Respect is...to spotlight our theme: Respect is… Bridging the Economic Gap.”

WIRE will explore the connection between gender-based violence and economic inequality, with topics such as the gender pay gap, career disruptions, financial abuse and reproductive leave. Join us for an important panel discussion with local community organisations as we look at the effects of the economic gap through the lens of employment, health and social sectors, and how we can work together to bridge these issues.

Join us in person at the Bendigo Library, or join online via zoom. All welcome!

This event is in partnership with the City of Greater Bendigo.
