Respect Rising Little Yarn; Wadandi Country
Event description
As valued community members we warmly invite you to attend a Yarn on Wadandi Country, Margaret River, for Reconciliation WA’s Respect Rising program.Â
Help us shape WA’s reconciled future!
Reconciliation WA are proud to work in partnership with Elders, Aboriginal organisations, Local Governments, organisations, and communities across Western Australia to lead this state-wide community-based initiative. We are committed to deep listening and providing a space for all voices to be heard. These yarns will be designed and delivered to ensure every engagement is culturally safe, accessible and inclusive for those coming into this space of listening, learning, and healing.
The Respect Rising program is Aboriginal led - by our Project Lead, Jade Thompson and Cultural Engagement Manager Toby Millar.
For registration help, call us on 6552 6990.
The yarn will be catered, with lunch provided.
If you need assistance with travel arrangements or to discuss how you can be involved, please call Francine or Jade on 08 6552 6990Â Â
The yarn is an opportunity for you to reflect, listen and share in the stories and sentiments of where to next in this post-referendum landscape. We will guide you through the session with conversation starters and thought prompters as well as having opportunities for you to share your story, should you wish too. Â
If you should need to step away and disconnect for a while, please feel supported to do so, this is a culturally safe and inclusive space for everyone.
