As part of Dying to Know Day (8 Aug) activities you’re invited to join us for this month’s virtual Rest Assured webinar series which aims to assist the community through support and education.

August Theme: “Understanding grief and how to support the bereaved”

Dying to Know Day is an annual national campaign which encourages people to start conversations about death. During August, the focus is on improving our understanding and knowledge around choice at end of life.

Grief affects us all and everyone moves through grief in their own unique way. Many people don’t know how to respond to grief and loss, whether their own or others.

Griefline provides a vital service for hundreds of people every day. Join keynote speaker, experienced bereavement practitioner and Griefline Counselling Supervisor, Marianne Bowdler to learn how to find courage through grief and discover hope and healing after loss.

Topics include:

  • Grief – what it is and isn’t and how we tell the difference
  • How grief can affect us – physically, emotionally, psychologically and spiritually
  • First steps if you are experiencing grief
  • What you can do to support others
  • How Griefline can assist
  • Helpful resources

Griefline is a national not-for-profit organisation that supports anyone experiencing grief through facing any type of loss. Griefline provides access to free telephone and online support services and resources. Its Integrating Grief Program is a free counselling and support service funded by NSW Government to provide enhanced bereavement care for the people of NSW.
