Henryk began practicing Iyengar Yoga in 1984 and has taught since 1994. He holds a Senior Intermediate Level Three Certificate in previous System of Iyengar Yoga Certificates, making him the most senior teacher in Poland.

As a young pilot in the Polish air force, Henryk and his colleagues found a book about yoga. They were fascinated and began practicing the various poses in their barracks. Once Henryk experienced yoga, he never turned from it. He began his study of Iyengar Yoga in 1984 while at university, where he earned a Masters in Pedagogy (in 1998). The teachings of Guruji Sri B.K.S. Iyengar instantly stuck a chord with Henryk and he became a dedicated and enthusiastic student making numerous travels to Ramamani Iyengar Memorial Yoga Institute ( RI MYI ) to Pune, India since 1997.

Henryk has the blessing of Guruji B.K.S. Iyengar to conduct Therapy classes, Teacher Training Programs, Continuing Education Courses and Assess teachers as part of the Certification Program.

Over 30 years of teaching (since 1994), Henryk has taught thousands of students, including many who have gone on to become Certified Iyengar Yoga teachers themselves, after completed Teacher Training courses which Henryk has been conducting since 2002.

In 2008 he completed a three-year course with Stephanie Quirk in the Therapeutic Application of Iyengar Yoga at the Iyengar Yoga Institute in Cologne, and has assisted the Iyengars in the Medical Class in Pune (India) at RIMYI since 1997.

Henryk hosts many esteemed Iyengar Yoga Teachers for workshops in Poland and Australia including Stephanie Quirk, Rita Keller, Carrie Owerko and Manouso Manos. He himself teaches workshops internationally, in Europe, Asia and Australia.

Over four decades of practice since 1984, have shown Henryk the power, complexity, completeness and fullness of the Iyengar Yoga method. His dedication to the genius of Guruji B.K.S. Iyengar and his respect of their teaching means he strives to pass on the teachings with purity and authenticity.
