Why it matters
The river is now often un-swimmable, un-fishable and undrinkable.
Community members remember a different river — and want it back.
A visible, community-led push can help secure coordinated, catchment-wide action.
What we’ll cover at the forum
The state of the Richmond River and what’s driving decline
Community stories: what the river was — and what it could be
A practical pathway to restore river health, including pursuing a single coordinating body.
How people, councils, industry and all levels of government can work together
How you can help
Come along and share your story
Back the call for coordinated action across the catchment
Volunteer / partner / chip in to keep the momentum going.
This event is part of Richmond RiverFest. Presented by the Richmond Riverkeeper, Richmond Riverfest is a month-long celebration of the rivers, cultures, and communities of the Northern Rivers.
