Youth Environmental Group (Ages 13–24) — Keen to get outside, learn something new, make friends, and give back to the environment? Join Rangatahi Restore Together at Patuone Reserve!
Each session includes hands-on conservation mahi, the chance to connect with other like-minded rangatahi, and learn skills that make a real difference.

What to bring: Wear closed shoes and clothes suitable for getting muddy. BYO gloves!

- Can I do this for school service hours or DOE?
Yes absolutely! We are happy to get that signed off for you.
- Do I need to come to every session?
Nope! You can come along to one session or as many as you like. Each event stands on its own.
- Who can join?
This group is for young people aged 13–24. You don’t need any experience — just an interest in the environment and a willingness to give things a go.
- What will we be doing?
Activities vary but may include planting, weeding, pest plant removal, monitoring, and learning about local ecosystems. We’ll always explain what to do on the day.
- Is it free?
Yes — all sessions are free to attend. We always have a drink and some kai afterwards too.
