This course will guide you to accurately identify restrictive practice and outline the legal requirements of use.

Part 1: eLearning (self-paced online module) - duration 30 minutes

Learn what actions or interventions are Restrictive practices that are regulated by Aged Care and NDIS legislation
Understand when they can be used and safety considerations

Part 2: Instructor Led Training via Zoom - duration 1 hour

Know what restrictive practice is and how to identify it
Learn the 4 L’s of Restrictive Practice to ensure legal requirements are met
Discuss case scenarios of what is and is not restrictive practice

Managers
Nurses
Care and Support Staff in Aged and Disability services

Notification of cancellation or transfer of registration must be by email to enquiry@acia.asn.au. No refund is available for any cancellations received five working days or less prior to the start date, however a substitute delegate is welcome. Please notify ACIA of any substitution as soon as possible. No refund or transfer will be given for non-attendance.
