Build the knowledge and hands-on skills to improve restroom and locker room cleaning, reduce cross-contamination, tackle odors, and create a better first impression.

This is an in-person class with 50% of class time devoted to hands-on practice. Work with the tools, equipment, and processes demonstrated in class, including cleaning and disinfecting tile and grout.

Who can attend?

This class is open to anyone who wants to improve restroom care, including frontline cleaning professionals, supervisors, managers, and building service contractors. No prerequisites are required for any Academy classes; experience helps but isn't required. All levels welcome.

What you will practice

• Cleaning chemistry, pH, and protecting health

• Cleaning walls and glass

• Low-touch and no-touch cleaning processes

• Cleaning and decontaminating flooring surfaces, including tile and grout

• Reducing cross-contamination during restroom care

• Processing single- and multi-use restrooms

50% of the morning will be hands-on practice of the principles instructed.

Explore practical ways to improve your current restroom and locker room program. Watch a floor decontamination demonstration below, then build your skills through in-person practice during class.

What to bring

Wear appropriate clothing for hands-on skills training. Bring your Humanitix ticket, printed or on your phone. Ticket scanning is required at entry.

Your instructor

Dave Thompson is a 50-year veteran of the cleaning industry. He has owned and operated a building service contracting company, consulted with thousands of operations across the U.S. and abroad, and taught professional development to thousands of students worldwide. Dave will demonstrate best practices and guide your hands-on work with the tools and equipment used in class.

Registration policies

• No refunds.

• No-shows receive no refund or transfer.

• You may transfer your registration to another person up to 7 days before class.

• Moving your registration to another scheduled class requires a $100 processing fee.

• If we cancel the class, you will receive a full refund.
