Resume Lab for Social Impact Leaders
Event description
As a trained grassroots organizer and career coach of 10 years, I believe it's possible for everyone to make the impact and the money they want in a role that's the right fit for them.
An essential part of landing the role you want is making sure your application is as strong as possible. In this workshop we'll go over the basics of writing a solid resume and how to use it to get a role you love.
We’ll also talk about AI tools that can help you get started, tailoring your resume for different jobs, and why tailoring is important.
There will also be an opportunity to get feedback on your resume in front of the group if you wish.
Agenda:
- Learn about some resume best practices and how to make resume-writing easier
- Workshop sample resumes and discuss common pitfalls
- Q&A
- Optional live feedback on your resume
Interested participants can submit their resume to get workshopped in front of the group. You can falsify or remove your contact information so that it is anonymous and then I will make edits and recommendations live.
If interested, submit your draft resume as a Google Doc to jankacoaching @ gmail [dot] com at least 24 hours in advance. You can remove the contact info on the resume if you wish.
This workshop is part of a series of career development workshops for social change and social impact leaders. See the events page for details.
