Retain, Repair, Reinvest RMIT Design Studio: Public Pin-Up

From 17th March - 1st April, OFFICE has led the RMIT studio Retain, Repair, Reinvest held at the 3553 project space. 3553 is pleased to invite the public to join us for mid-semester pin-ups.

Studio Details:
The RMIT University Master of Architecture and Master of Landscape Architecture design studio Retain, Repair, Reinvest has been operating out of 3553, transforming the venue into a space of learning and production. Students have developed their own renewal strategies for a 12-storey public housing tower earmarked for demolition, along with the neighbouring two-storey townhouses. The course has included a series of public lectures, and a public pin-up curated by students. Public housing residents, advocates, politicians and the broader community will be invited to view and discuss the proposals.

3553 is a public event space dedicated to the exploration of ideas that affect the built environment. Operated by OFFICE, a design and research practice committed to advancing critical dialogue, 3553 fosters collaboration across disciplines, communities, and borders. The space offers a platform for local, national, and international practitioners, students, researchers, and academics to showcase innovative work, share insights, and engage in meaningful conversations. Through a diverse program of exhibitions, lectures, workshops, and public events, 3553 invites audiences to engage with the evolving landscape of design, while creating a space for education, critical thought, and creative exchange.
