Program Overview

This short program will help small teams focus on the theory behind retrieval practice and Daily Review in English. The program will help teachers understand more about types of activities most useful in Daily Review context, using different types of engagement. Teams will also look at scheduling Daily Review and how to use the information gathered through Daily Review activities.

What will I learn about?

  • Examining the types of activities that are most useful in English Daily Review
  • Engagement types that are useful in Daily Review
  • How to create a Daily Review schedule
  • How to respond effectively to information gained through Daily Review

    The program will be run by Ochre Education leaders with additional support from Ochre’s education team.

    Who is it for?

    This program is designed for teachers and leaders who are keen to develop their understanding of retrieval practice in English via daily review, its purpose and implementation. Participants can be drawn from across States and Territories and all sectors. Although this course will draw on Ochre Daily Review resources to demonstrate key concepts, it is relevant for all schools, irrespective of whether they use Ochre materials or not.

    How is it structured?

    There is one 3 hour virtual workshop (via Zoom) (scheduled during late mornings AEST / early mornings AWST), in which teams will learn about Daily Review in English and apply that learning in session.

    When does the program run? 

    Workshops will be run each term in 2025.

    What is the cost?

    The school course cost is $500 plus GST for two participants. This fee provides access to the webinar and associated resources.

    Extra participants from the same school can be added for an additional $50 plus GST per person. Once you have secured your school place, email us for access to the additional places.
