Reusable Nappies - your questions answered
Event description
Disposable nappies can cost $3,600 per child by the time they reach the age of two-and-a half. Switching to reusables can save around $2,270 per child during that time. Using just one reusable nappy can stop 365 nappies a year going to landfill, save space in your bin and have health benefits by avoiding the chemicals found in disposables nappies.
We’re hosting a community workshop to help parents and carers' understand how to use reusable nappies. We want to help more people use reusables, more of the time (rather than feeling you must use reusables or disposables only).  These workshops will cover:
- the different types of reusable nappies available and how to choose one that works best for you and your baby
- how to get the right fit, and how to adjust resizable nappies through the different stages of your baby's growth
- how to store, wash and dry used nappies — both at home and when you’re out and about
- the health, cost and sustainable benefits of reusable nappies.
Registrations are essential. For more information on Reusable Nappies, visit https://www.thenappyproject.com.au
