    Event description

Come join us at our ReUse Market in Auckland's City Centre - come to shop or come to sell.

    Background

Our market is a place for anyone who wants to to sell, swap, downsize or just give things away you no longer need. We also accept stall holders who want to sell handmade upcycled items.

We are keen to sell fresh fruit and vegetables. Our city centre residents and visitors to the city want to buy fresh local produce. If you have a surplus please bring it along to sell.

Our central covered venue is in Auckland's City Centre on the ground floor of Victoria St Car Park. Just up from Queen St. Car entry is on Kitchener St. Walking entry from High St.

    Details

The ReUse Car Boot Market runs on the second Sunday of the Month.

The market is for second hand items only – no new stuff as we think there is already enough stuff on our planet. We like to keep the prices of items affordable. Our aim is to move stuff on to somebody who will appreciate it and save stuff from landfill.

You never know what you might find!

    Selling at the ReUse Market

Our monthly covered market is an alternative to running your own garage sale, no advertising necessary (we take care of that), no need for the hassles with Facebook Marketplace and Trade Me.

You can sell from a table or from the ground (bring a mat, bring a table, bring a way to hang and display clothes). Also bring something heavy to stop the display racks running down the slight slope.

We request you drop off your items for sale and then find a park for your vehicle in the car parking building. The parking is $10 maximum or you may find a free street park.  Or grab an Uber to drop you and your stuff off.

Set up from 8.00 am. The market gets going at 10.00 am and finishes at 2.00 pm.

We ask you to unload and then move your car to somewhere else in the carparking building (max. $10 per day on weekends) or find a street park.

One price  – $20 per site.

The sites are the size of car park. No need for gazebos as the space is inside.

    Booking a Spot to Sell

To be sure you get a space please PRE BOOK and PAY IN ADVANCE for your spot. If you just turn up on the morning to sell you are not guaranteed a space.

If you are interested in taking a stall and have more questions please contact Suzanne Kendrick 027 360 4564

    Hours

The ReUse Market opens for the stall holders on the Second Sunday of the month at 8.00 a.m and to shoppers from 10.00 am until 2.00 pm. We have made the market later than other markets as we have found this is when shoppers are out and about in central Auckland.

Sellers please don't turn up too early. We will be there from 8.00 am to guide you in to your place.

    Background

In August 2012 Grey Lynn 2030 started the Car Boot Market. Held on the Last Sunday of the Month in the Grey Lynn RSC Car park and has become a much enjoyed community institution.

Twelve years on the climate has changed - the market has been rain affected many times which is annoying for both our shoppers and sellers. So we were looking for a covered space to run another market. We now have a new second, central venue in Auckland's City Centre - Victoria St Car Park.

Our name reflects our passion and what drives our market - ReUse Market

Thanks to the Auckland City Centre Targeted Rate and Auckland Council/Auckland Transport for kindly letting us use the carparking building for our market.
