Description

Poetry by Lisa Maule, music by Michelle Scullion, directed by Jim Moriarty

Theatre-maker Lisa Maule performs her collection of poetry about creativity and questioning.  Poems include commentary about a 'capitalist stapler’, growing up in the hilly suburb of Karori and places of conflicted feelings.

Not a straight town at all, not a straight down.

An asphalt zigzag.

Home to hydrangea’s, cats, rats, cars, tartan trinkets, china tea cups &

traces of ancient trees."

Embrace unexpected laughs, challenge your norms and immerse yourself in creativity.

"...it was also about the personal and political sentiment, more than any dazzle with music and rhyme and rhythm and repetition. This was about pure heart." - Simon Sweetman

"The energy buzzing between Lisa and the incredible Michelle Scullion is such a highlight of the show." - Gin Mabey
